Canadian Football Widget

Just in time for the season this widget will allow you to follow your team to the playoffs. Features the season broken down by week using team jerseys, (you can choose whether to show the city abbreviations or not), and a football indicating the winner. When first launched the widget will show the current weeks scheduled matches, you can traverse the season using the drop down menu or the arrows to either side.

Also allows you to view only your team's schedule (select your team using the preferences), team stats (wins, losses, ties, points, points against, and points for), as well as Grey Cup winners by season and sorted by team (your chosen team's championships are highlighted in gold, losses highlighted in red), and the current league standings.

This is primarily a schedule, results are updated as close to the conclusion of games as possible. Game times and dates are subject to change.

Options include:
- 9 different colors to choose from (based on CFL team colors)
- Choose between all Canadian Timezones (including Atlantic)
- English as well as French language. (Please forgive any errors in the French, it's not a language I know.)
- Mimize function in the form of a random player's jersey from your selected team.

The widget is manually updated by clicking the refresh arrow located on the bottom of the widget.

NBA Finals 2007 Widget (Yahoo!)

This widget was actually made as a prize from this seasons hockey pool over at The Common Fan. The winner, tbbuccaneers80wr, wanted a widget for the NBA finals and so I've done the best I can to accomadate his wishes.

It contains the Finals with times and dates and will be updated with the game results, you can choose one of the two teams (or use the default) skin, it includes a list of all of the previous championships with winners (and losers) by year, as well some basic statistics for both teams from this season.

A couple of other small functions are included, namely your teams jersey in the dock, as well as win/loss graphics if you have selected one of the two teams.

Unfortunately, due to the fact that the Finals start tomorrow, I'm not going to have time to convert this over to Dashboard, so if you have a Mac and are curious you'll have to install Yahoo! Widgets 4 to run it.

Misc. Jerseys Round 4: View Askew

Kevin Smith is a hockey fan. I assume. In just about every one of his films he manages to work in a jersey or hockey related something. In Clerks it is fairly obvious, in Mallrats Fanboy, aka Walt Grover, aka Walt Flanagan, is seen wearing a View Askew Vulgarians jersey in front of the comic book shop (available for purchase here), in Chasing Amy they go to a game, Dogma has the Stygian Triplets, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back also has the View Askew Vulgarians jersey, and in Clerks II Randal is wearing a hat for the Leonardo Reapers.

From left to right, Randal's CCCP jersey from Clerks, these were used during the late 80's early 90's by the Soviet Union. They are just about impossible to find at this point. Dante's Penguins jersey from Clerks, granted they didn't have names on the back in the films... Leonard Reapers jersey, these are available from the View Askew shop here, and yes they are all numbered 37. The last one is Fanboy's View Askew Vulgarians jersey seen in Mallrats, and yes it is also numbered 37...

In the future I may do a whole set using the characters from all the films using the old Devils jerseys seen in Clerks.
